How this helps you
You stay current without scrolling X, and each idea collects its own research before you start on it.
Read public posts on X from the last [hours] hours about [niche]. Pick the 3 topics most worth a [format] from me, each with one line on why and the link to the best post. Then open my Notion database [database name]. If a topic fits an existing idea card, add the links to that card under Resources and tell me which cards you changed. Don't create new cards and don't post anything.
Fill in: [hours] is the window since the last run (12 for twice a day). [niche] is your topic. [format] is what you make: video, newsletter, thread. [database name] is your Notion ideas database.
What they did
Ras Mic has more video ideas than time, and his niche moves fast. His YouTube Bot runs a routine at 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. It reads AI news and posts on X, sends him three topics he could talk about, and checks them against his Notion board of video ideas. When a finding fits an idea he already has, the Bot puts the links on that idea's card, so the research is waiting when he sits down to plan the video.
Who it's for: Creators, newsletter writers and marketers who plan content from a running list of ideas.
Before you start
- A Bot for your content work (one job per Bot keeps it focused).
- Notion connected in Connect apps, with a database of ideas (one card per idea).
- A clear niche, so the Bot knows which posts count as news for you.
How to try it
- Create a content Bot and put your niche in its description, for example AI tools for small business owners.
- Connect Notion and tell the Bot which database holds your ideas. Ask it to list five cards back to you so you know it found the right one.
- Run the prompt below once by hand and read the three topics. Tell it what was useful and what was noise.
- When the picks look right, ask it to turn the prompt into a routine at two times that suit you (Ras uses 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.).
- Once a week, open the cards it touched and delete links you never used, so the Bot learns what a useful resource looks like.
What to expect
A short message with three numbered topics, each with a reason and a link, then a line like 'Added 2 links to the card Agent SDKs explained'. The Notion card shows the new links under Resources.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the niche vague. 'AI news' returns everything; name the audience and the angle.
- Letting it create cards. New ideas pile up fast; keep it to adding resources to cards you already chose.
- Running it every hour. Two runs a day is enough for most niches and uses far less of your weekly usage.
