How this helps you
Requests get handled where your team already talks, and missed ones still get caught.
Every weekday at 10am, look through [channels] for requests that should have come to you but did not tag you, and list them for me before acting.
What they did
Matt Palmer built a social media review team Bot after noticing colleagues often asked him to review, schedule and post social copy. The Bot has skills for his scheduling tool, writing revision and marketing copy, plus an API key for his own tooling. Team Bots can be installed into Slack or Microsoft Teams, so people tag the Bot there. A routine also looks through Slack for places it should have been mentioned but was not. He says it saves him from being pinged and lets teammates get help without waiting for him.
Who it's for: Teams that already work in Slack or Teams.
How to try it
- Create the team Bot and give it the skills it needs.
- Add any API key or secret through Grok Bot's secure credentials, not in chat.
- Install the team Bot in Slack or Microsoft Teams.
- Add a routine that checks Slack for requests it missed.
What to expect
Colleagues tag the Bot in a Slack thread and it replies with a review or schedules the post.
Common mistakes
- Pasting API keys into chat. Use the credential storage.
