How this helps you
You get dashboard ideas that fit your real work instead of copying someone else's.
Based on what you know about me, my business, my activities and tasks, and things I've asked you to do, please recommend 5 new dashboards we can create that would be helpful for me and make me more productive. Feel free to collaborate with the other bots on this.
Fill in: No placeholders; this is Alex Finn's prompt word for word. If you only use one Bot, drop the last sentence.
What they did
Alex Finn built a 'Mission Control' Page on his chief of staff Bot: decisions waiting on him on the left, recently finished tasks in the middle and upcoming routines on the right, so he can unblock Bots and cancel routines he no longer needs. He says the first dashboard should be that one. For the rest, he doesn't decide himself. He uses a reverse prompt that asks the Bot to recommend five dashboards based on what it knows about him, and to collaborate with his other Bots. Keeping every dashboard on the chief of staff puts them all in one library, and he pins the one he looks at most. One commenter said they ran a modified version of the reverse prompt and had the dashboard they needed in two minutes. His full Mission Control prompt is in the video description.
Who it's for: Anyone with several Bots who loses track of what they're doing.
Before you start
- A main or chief of staff Bot that can see your other Bots.
- A few weeks of history, so the Bot knows what you work on.
How to try it
- Open your chief of staff Bot.
- Paste the reverse prompt below.
- Let it ask your other Bots what matters to them, then read its five suggestions.
- Pick one and ask it to build that Page using only real data.
- Open the Library on the right, use the three dots on the Page, and pin it.
- If it should stay current, ask for a routine to refresh it; Pages don't update by themselves.
What to expect
Five short pitches, such as a sponsor pipeline or a 'today in 60 seconds' brief with calendar, key stats and decisions waiting. Pick one and it builds the Page.
Common mistakes
- Building a dashboard nobody opens. Pin it, or put it on a second screen as Alex does.
- Expecting it to refresh when you open it. Add a routine.
- Letting it fill gaps with made-up numbers. Alex's prompt says to show missing data as empty.
Related tips
- Build a crew dashboard of what every Bot is doing: A Page that shows which Bots need you, which are busy and which are idle, rebuilt every morning.
- How Pages stay up to date (and what they cannot do): Pages are not live: a routine rewrites them. Know the limits before you build many.
- Start with a chief of staff Bot: Talk to one coordinator Bot and let it hand work to your specialist Bots.
