How this helps you
The right wording makes a reply on X land in your Grok Bot chat, so you can act on it later.
@bot summarise this thread and send it to my bot
What they did
@Texas_Twins_Dad found that just tagging @bot or asking for a summary won't reach your Grok Bot chat. Saying "send it to my bot" or "send me the summary" makes it land in your app.
Who it's for: Anyone who reads X and wants to save threads to work on later.
Before you start
- The X plugin installed and configured. Matt Palmer says Bot needs your X username linked to your account.
How to try it
- Connect your X account to your Grok account. The docs say tagging needs it, and it isn't in every region yet.
- Reply to a post tagging @bot.
- Include 'send it to my bot' or 'send me the summary' so it lands in your app.
- Check your main Bot's chat for the result.
What to expect
The summary arrives in your main Bot's chat, and @bot posts a short public reply.
Common mistakes
- Just tagging @bot and expecting a reply in your chat.
- Tagging @grok in the same post. The troubleshooting docs say @bot stays quiet then, and also on posts with a video.
