A read-only X Bot that finds conversations worth joining

Intermediate, 25 minutes

A Bot checks X every 30 minutes for fresh posts you can add something to, ranks them Act now, Maybe or Skip, and never posts.

How this helps you

You see the few fresh conversations where you can add something, ranked, without scrolling, and you keep every reply your own.

✦ Try it
Your job is to find X conversations worth my time. You are read only: never post, reply, like, follow or DM. About every [30 minutes], check replies to my own posts, then my watch list [accounts], then search for questions about [topics]. Only pass on posts that invite replies, are under [2 hours] old, have reach (on my watch list, [5,000]+ followers, or already getting engagement) and where I have something specific to add. Rank each Act now, Maybe or Skip with one line on why. Message me only for Act now; put the rest in a morning brief at [time]. If nothing qualifies, stay quiet.

Fill in: [accounts]: handles you want to follow closely. [topics]: what you post about. [30 minutes], [2 hours], [5,000], [time]: his settings; change to suit you.

What they did

Snapper AI built an X Growth Bot whose whole job is reading X so he doesn't have to scroll. Access is read only: it never posts, replies, likes, follows or sends a DM, and he writes and publishes every reply himself. About every 30 minutes it checks replies on his own posts first, then a watch list of accounts, then searches for questions he can help with. A post has to pass four rules: it invites replies, it's under two hours old, it has reach (on his watch list, an account with at least 5,000 followers, or already picking up engagement), and it fits his topics with something specific he can add. What's left is ranked Act now, Maybe or Skip. Only Act now gets a message right away; the rest goes into an 8:15 AM morning brief, and when nothing qualifies it stays quiet. It also keeps its own setup written up in Notion and turns his bookmarks into a weekly to-do list.

Who it's for: Creators and founders who want to join relevant X conversations without scrolling all day.

Before you start

How to try it

  1. Create a Bot for X and give it the prompt below with your topics and watch list.
  2. Ask it to write its role, rules and templates to a Notion page (or a file) and keep that page updated when the setup changes.
  3. Set two routines: a conversation check about every 30 minutes, and a morning brief.
  4. For the first days, read every alert, including Maybe ones, and tell it which ones were wrong so it tightens the filters.
  5. Write your own replies. If you want feedback, paste your draft and ask what could read badly.

What to expect

A morning brief with a few ranked conversations, each with why it's worth joining and a suggested angle, plus a check that all its runs worked.
