Let your Bot cancel free trials and unused subscriptions

Beginner, 5 minutes

Three built-in templates from 0.78: start a trial and cancel it before it bills, cancel plans you don't use, and watch renewal prices.

How this helps you

You stop paying for trials and plans you forgot about, and nothing is cancelled without your OK.

✦ Try it
Run Find unused subscriptions. List every plan I'm still paying for with its price and next renewal date, mark the ones you think I don't use and say why, and don't cancel anything until I pick from the list.

Fill in: No placeholders. Ask for Try it, don't pay for it or Watch subscription prices the same way.

What they did

@spectnfa walked through the "Try it, don't pay for it" template that arrived in the 0.78 update. It starts a free trial for you, then cancels it or reminds you before the card is charged. His steps: update Grok Bot, tell your Bot what you want to try, approve the trial, then forget about it. The same update added Find unused subscriptions, which shows the plans you still pay for and cancels the ones you pick, and Watch subscription prices, which checks renewal prices. The official changelog says Bots can now cancel a subscription or look up its price and renewal date, and confirm with you before changing anything.

Who it's for: Anyone who signs up for trials and forgets to cancel them.

Before you start

How to try it

  1. Update Grok Bot to the latest version.
  2. Start with Find unused subscriptions: ask your Bot to run it, then pick which plans to cancel from the list it shows you.
  3. For a trial, tell your Bot what you want to try with the Try it, don't pay for it template, and say whether it should cancel or just remind you before it bills.
  4. Approve the trial when the Bot asks.
  5. Add Watch subscription prices so renewal price changes reach you before they hit.
  6. Check your card statement after the first billing date to confirm nothing was charged.

What to expect

A list of active plans with prices and renewal dates, a few marked as likely unused, and a confirmation card before each cancellation.

Two habits that make usage last: batch requests, send words not screenshots

Every message makes a Bot reread the chat, so send related requests together, skip 'thanks' replies, and paste text or cropped images instead of full screenshots and PDFs.

How this helps you The same work uses fewer messages and less image reading, so your weekly usage goes further without dropping any jobs.

From support form to fix: a webhook, a Bot and a Cursor cloud agent

A support form posts to a webhook, a Bot picks up the ticket, and for bugs it starts a Cursor cloud agent that reproduces the issue, adds a failing test and opens a pull request for an engineer to review.

How this helps you By the time an engineer looks at a bug, it has repro steps, a test and a proposed fix waiting.

Compare tools from their official pricing pages, into a shareable sheet

Ask a Bot to compare a few products for your team size using only the official pricing pages, with no signing in, and return a table plus a spreadsheet in your library.

How this helps you You get a buying decision with sources in minutes, in a file you can pass on.
