How this helps you
You can start from a working Bot instead of a blank one.
Find a Bot template for [job] in the Grok Bot Marketplace and link it. Tell me what it does, which apps it needs, and which routines it will run, before I add it.
Fill in: [job]: e.g. sales call coaching, SEO briefs, or designing new Bots.
What they did
Charlie Chang's 30 Sep tutorial shows importing Doctor Eggbot, a Bot that interviews you and then designs Bots for you. The app has changed since: per the changelog, the in-app Marketplace became Connect Apps for plugins (0.67.0), with Bot templates on the web. Today the web Marketplace at x.ai/bot/marketplace lists templates by category (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Design, Personal and more), each with an Add button. A template page, such as dr eggbot by Lauren Tan, shows its memories, skills, routines and integrations, and an Import Bot button. Third-party template pages say the Bot was created by a third-party user, not by SpaceXSI, and may act on your behalf. You can also ask your Bot to find a template that fits, and it links one in chat (changelog 0.70).
Who it's for: Beginners who would rather start from a template than a blank Bot.
How to try it
- Open x.ai/bot/marketplace in a browser, or ask your Bot to find a template for the job you describe.
- Open a template and read its description, skills, routines and integrations before adding it.
- Click Add (or Import Bot / Add to Grok Bot). You get your own copy.
- Check what arrived: skills from a template show under Private skills, labelled From template. Ask the Bot to list its routines too.
- Run it once on a small task before connecting sensitive apps or turning on routines.
What to expect
A link to a template with a short summary of what it will do and need; after adding, a new Bot in your list.
Common mistakes
- Adding a template and connecting sensitive accounts before reading its instructions. Third-party templates may act on your behalf.
- Assuming every routine came across. Dr eggbot's own template notes say template import may not create its packed routines, so ask the Bot to check.
- Looking for Bots in the in-app Connect Apps page. That page is for plugins now.
