A household shopping manager that builds your weekly cart

Intermediate, 10 minutes

A year of orders became a Notion catalog. Every Sunday the cart is built and the human checks out.

How this helps you

Your regular shop is pre-built from what you actually buy, and you only check and pay.

✦ Try it
Go through my past [store] orders from the last year and build a Notion catalog: each item, how often we buy it, and the usual quantity. Then every Sunday at 8am, fill my cart with what's due and stop before checkout. Send me the cart for review. Never place the order.

What they did

@ducksays had a household manager Bot go through a year of Walmart orders (78 of them) and build a Notion catalog of what they buy and how often. Every Sunday morning the cart is already built; they look it over and check out themselves. The same Bot knows every appliance in the house, tracks warranties and says when to swap the air filters. In week one it forgot soap and shampoo.

Who it's for: Households that reorder the same things most weeks.

Before you start

How to try it

  1. Connect Notion and sign in to your grocery site on the Bot's computer (take over for the password).
  2. Ask the Bot to go through your past orders and build a catalog of items and how often you buy them.
  3. Check the catalog and fix anything odd.
  4. Create a weekly routine that fills the cart from the catalog and stops before checkout.
  5. Look over the cart each week and check out yourself.

What to expect

A Notion catalog of what your household buys, plus a filled cart each Sunday that you review and pay for.

Worth knowingThe pattern works for any store with order history. Add appliances and warranty dates to the same Notion space if you want the reminders too.

Two habits that make usage last: batch requests, send words not screenshots

Every message makes a Bot reread the chat, so send related requests together, skip 'thanks' replies, and paste text or cropped images instead of full screenshots and PDFs.

How this helps you The same work uses fewer messages and less image reading, so your weekly usage goes further without dropping any jobs.

Let your Bot cancel free trials and unused subscriptions

Three built-in templates from 0.78: start a trial and cancel it before it bills, cancel plans you don't use, and watch renewal prices.

How this helps you You stop paying for trials and plans you forgot about, and nothing is cancelled without your OK.

From support form to fix: a webhook, a Bot and a Cursor cloud agent

A support form posts to a webhook, a Bot picks up the ticket, and for bugs it starts a Cursor cloud agent that reproduces the issue, adds a failing test and opens a pull request for an engineer to review.

How this helps you By the time an engineer looks at a bug, it has repro steps, a test and a proposed fix waiting.
