Open your Bot's screen to watch or help

Intermediate, 10 minutes

Each Bot works on a real desktop you can open, watch, sign in on, and take over.

How this helps you

You can see exactly what the Bot is doing and step in to sign in or correct it.

✦ Try it
Find the three best [product] under [budget] on [store]. Do this on your computer so I can see it, and send me links before buying anything.

What they did

Charlie Chang shows that clicking the screen icon in a Bot's chat starts up its desktop, so you can see what it is doing. You can also use that computer yourself: he opens Chrome and goes to Gmail to sign in. That matters because a signed-in Bot can do real work. He says his assistant has placed Amazon orders, downloaded and filled out documents, and even talked to a company's support chat on his behalf. To make the work visible, he adds "do this on your computer so I can see it" to a request. He notes it will not always use the desktop, and that it moves slower than a person.

Who it's for: People who want to see what the Bot does before trusting it with logins.

How to try it

  1. Open a Bot's chat and click the screen icon to start its desktop.
  2. If a site needs your login, sign in yourself in the Bot's browser.
  3. Add "do this on your computer so I can see it" when you want to watch.
  4. Leave it to finish, or step in if it gets stuck.

What to expect

You see the browser move through searches and product pages, then a short list with links lands in chat.

Two habits that make usage last: batch requests, send words not screenshots

Every message makes a Bot reread the chat, so send related requests together, skip 'thanks' replies, and paste text or cropped images instead of full screenshots and PDFs.

How this helps you The same work uses fewer messages and less image reading, so your weekly usage goes further without dropping any jobs.

Let your Bot cancel free trials and unused subscriptions

Three built-in templates from 0.78: start a trial and cancel it before it bills, cancel plans you don't use, and watch renewal prices.

How this helps you You stop paying for trials and plans you forgot about, and nothing is cancelled without your OK.

From support form to fix: a webhook, a Bot and a Cursor cloud agent

A support form posts to a webhook, a Bot picks up the ticket, and for bugs it starts a Cursor cloud agent that reproduces the issue, adds a failing test and opens a pull request for an engineer to review.

How this helps you By the time an engineer looks at a bug, it has repro steps, a test and a proposed fix waiting.
